This totally reminded me of the first song you sang to me. I'm not going to say that that's the moment I knew I wanted us together, because I never understood how people could pinpoint the exact moment something happened.

But that song brought us together the same way that playlist I made in December did, the same way that song you sang to me last night did. I totally love how music can bring us together, but sometimes I hate how the fact that it brings us together by distracting us from the real issue at hand, keeps us from addressing that issue and leads to me just totally freaking out about it because, I feel that at the end of the day, it's the distractions that keep us together instead of our miraculous ability to pull through anything.

I just miss the days when things were easy. I'd say something random and you'd laugh and give me your honest opinion. You'd make me feel like we were infinite in silence and I could always walk away from you thinking I'd just had the best conversation in the world.

In the Mood

I was looking through my friend's blog today, and she posted a quotation from the movie Ghosts of a Girlfriends Past which randomly made me want to blog:

"The power in all relationships lies with whoever cares less."

We're not together, but I think we both know that I care more. It kills me to know that, and I hate it all the time, but I still love you.

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to be you, the one who cares less. I know you'd fix the world up for me, but I'd make an entire world up just for you.

All I can say is that I hope that after all of this is over, you remember me when you're old and gray. I want you to be the someone for the second thing on my bucket list: tattoo someone's life; I want you to be able to say someday that your entire life has changed because you knew me. I know you've made a ton of changes for me. I know you're different now: you're more open (albeit, I suspect only with me), you now say please and thank you (I'm very proud), you fight for what you want, and I think that you're starting to explore your other options (if you really meant that it was because of what I said, it'd mean the world to me).

And... about that night: I did it because I wanted you to remember me.
